Things to consider when choosing a childcare centre
Enrolling your little one into a childcare centre is a big step and an important milestone, marking the start of their journey through education. With this in mind, it is understandable that parents should not take the decision lightly when choosing which early learning centre or preschool is right for their child.
The early years of learning have been proven to have the most impact on a child’s developing abilities, and ensuring that the right educational opportunities are provided right from the start will have a hugely positive impact on any child’s intellectual, physical, and emotional skills.
Good experiences in childcare can determine a child’s positive associations with learning for the remainder of their education, and this is why choosing the right childcare centre for you and your little one is so very important.
Location is one of the most important factors to consider. Whether you are a busy working parent, a family with a multitude of commitments, or just trying to stick to a demanding schedule – the last thing you want is a long commute to your childcare centre. Whether you drive, walk or use public transport, it is important to have easy access to your chosen centre whenever possible.
Centre Operating Times
Busy modern life is constantly placing higher demands on our finite time. Longer/more varied shift patterns and travelling times, alongside collecting other family members from school or day-care, can mean that some centre operating times simply don’t allow for realistic drop-off and pick-up times.
At Cherry Bridge Station all our centres have extended opening hours to allow for this. Current times vary between 6.30am and 6.30pm, with some centres also offering before and after school care. Please contact your nearest centre for their specific opening times and more details.
Good Educational and Childcare Standards
One of the most important features of an early learning centre is the standard at which they will care for and educate your child.
Each of the Cherry Bridge Station childcare centres fully supports and implements the Australian Government’s National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework. Our centres cater to children from six weeks to five years of age and boast the very best educators and resources.
The fun activity-based curriculum encourages children to develop their skills through play and exploration, and all children attending our centres are nurtured mentally, physically and emotionally.
